Several migrants accused in beating of New York City police officers arrested in Phoenix

The news confirms that several individuals suspected of being involved in the mob beating of New York City police officers have been apprehended in Phoenix, Arizona. According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sources, the arrests were made Monday evening at a Greyhound bus station by ICE and Homeland Security Investigations.

However, specific details about the identities of the suspects arrested or which individuals seen beating the officers were among those arrested on Monday have not yet been disclosed.

Previously, four individuals involved in the assault incident in New York were reported to have fled to California after being released without bail. Their names were Darwin Andres Gomez, Kelvin Servita Arocha, Wilson Juarez, and Yorman Reveron. Subsequently, Jhoan Boada, Jandry Barros, and Yohenry Brito were apprehended.

Following these events, New York Governor Kathy Hochul expressed her intention to discuss with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg why most of the suspects were released without bail. She emphasized that assault on a police officer is a bail-eligible offense and suggested that prosecutors should have sought to keep the suspects behind bars.
