Telegram rolls out revamped voice and video calls, new delete animation on Android

Telegram is introducing a fresh update, version 10.5.0, featuring a revamped look and feel for voice and video calls, along with an updated delete animation for Android users. Although messaging remains Telegram’s core focus, voice and video calls play a crucial role, especially with their end-to-end encryption. The latest update brings a redesigned user interface for calls, incorporating new animations and aesthetics. The backgrounds dynamically change based on the call’s status (ringing, active, or ended). This redesign not only provides a better look but also enhances performance, requiring fewer resources and, consequently, saving battery life, making it more efficient for older devices.

The update promises improved call quality, with further enhancements planned for 2024. Additionally, the “vaporize animation,” initially introduced on Telegram’s iOS app, is making its way to Android, becoming the new animation across both platforms. Known as the “Thanos Snap” effect, this animation is touted as more energy-efficient. Alongside these changes, Telegram is enhancing bots, allowing them to react to messages, work with quoted messages, send replies, and more. The continuous updates highlight Telegram’s commitment to improving user experience and functionality across various aspects of its platform.
